Many schools around the country have either reopened or are in the process of coming up with reopening plan. Part of a reopening and operating plan should include a cleaning and disinfecting routine. Given the current public health crisis, the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting needs to increase, but can be difficult with children and staff constantly occupying and moving around the school.
Surfaces such as desks, cafeteria tables, chairs, handrails, door handles, and equipment need to be cleaned and disinfected after each use to stop the spread of contaminants, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 disease.
